In 1946, Mr. M.K. Yang established the Tong Hsing firm in Keelung. Prior to launching the company, Mr. Yang had been quite active in the food and grocery trade between Taiwan and Mainland China.

After decades of development and progress, the Tong Hsing Group of Companies has expanded from a traditional food and groceries business into a diversified range of trading and manufacturing concerns, including electronics, wine and tobacco, feed stocks, and chemicals.
